Opportunity:
- Flexible PRN basis, ongoing need
- Hiring individuals with expertise in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or a general medical background, including experience with compensation and pension.
- Two coverage options - Travel to perform exams at a leased facility and/or schedule appointments within your own practice
- Choose between half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) shifts
- Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments
- Interview-based exams with some physical assessments like range of motion and muscle strength testing
- No prescribing or treatment involved
- Fast credentialing and onboarding process
- Possibility to obtain DMA certification for CME credits if not already certified
- Goniometer usage required
- Proficiency in Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio evaluations needed
- Skilled in METs testing, evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
- Must have a personal laptop (excluding MACs)
- Training provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours post-exam completion in standardized form(s)
- Conduct evaluations through the provider portal
- Record review mandatory in most cases
- Regular follow-up administrative tasks required (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)
- Seeking 3 providers
- No on-call duties
Compensation:
- Flat half-day rate for shifts ≤ 4 hours, including exam completion and report submission (no OT)
- Flat daily rate for shifts ≥ 5 hours, covering exam completion, report submission (including any addendums, no OT)
- One-time bonus upon completing all necessary training and initial exams
- Preference for local candidates, with travel expenses covered
