We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Medicine Physician to join our team at the Defense Health Agency. As an Occupational Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing medical care to injured Federal workers and other Occupational Medicine patients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage injured Federal workers under the Federal Employee Compensation Act and other Occupational Medicine patients
- Develop and implement a comprehensive medical case management program for employees with work-related injuries and illnesses
- Conduct job site visits to observe workplace physical layout and operations, detect potential workplace hazards, and monitor compliance with safety procedures and personal protective equipment usage
- Develop, implement, and evaluate hazard abatement interventions to protect workers and the community
- Provide medical care for ill and injured civilian personnel in the Occupational Health setting
- Conduct physical assessment evaluations for clients being evaluated for pre-employment, periodic medical, annual medical, return to work assessment, and termination evaluations
- Develop educational material, coordinate and manage delivery of Occupational Health training programs to promote awareness of health hazards and prevent disease
- Active medical license and credentials
- Diplomate in the American Board of Preventive Medicine-Occupational Health
- Ability to be privileged as an independent provider by the TAMC privileging authority
- Valid DEA controlled substance registration
This position may require travel up to 5% of the time. Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact.
