The VP of Fixed Operations is responsible for strategic initiatives to maximize productivity, growth, and efficiency of the service and parts enterprise. This will include: Heavy Duty Truck, Construction Equipment, and Body/Collision. This individual will be an agent of change and partner with Senior Leaders and Corporate Service & Parts Directors to achieve Nuss' operating goals and solve customer needs.
Job Duties Include:
- Strategically lead and influence OEM's and key suppliers supporting Nuss' goals.
- Service, Parts, Sales, and Warranty.
- Identify and drive key initiatives within fixed operations.
- Safety, Sales, Growth, and Efficiency.
- Maintain awareness of state and federal legislation impacting business units. Drive processes to protect the enterprise.
- Regulatory, Pricing, and Customer.
- Monitor and communicate on market conditions; including competitors' products and internal and external factors.
- Pricing, Labor Rates, and Customer.
- Identify and address high profile problems within fixed operations, and drive solutions.
- Repair trends, technology (i.e. BEV), Warranty, and Key Customers.
- Drive strong financial performance; leverage data to identify trends and needs.
- Profitability, Growth, and Continuous Improvement.
- Lead with active visibility across all departments and locations.
- Customers, GM's, Sales, and Service & Parts at all levels.
- Drive developmental needs for Directors, Managers, and Supervisors, supporting continuous improvement in leadership and technical skills.
- Responsible for driving and ensuring high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
- Value, Quality, and Sustainability.
- Identify and drive technology innovations for both internal and external needs.
- Foster a culture that promotes development, retention, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or related program desired (appropriate experience in lieu of a degree may be considered)
Experience:
- 10-15 years of Heavy Duty Truck and/or Construction Equipment dealership / fleet service experience.
- Proven Leadership / Managerial experience required.
- Demonstrated judgment, organizational skills, problem solving, and determination to support service staff and customers while controlling costs.
- Proven ability to develop, model, support and hold others accountable to all operational policies and procedures in accordance with corporate, human resources, budgetary and finance guidelines.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
