What's new with Aptar

We have an exciting position open: Toolroom Technician, this position will report to the Toolmaker Supervisor. This position is responsible for the total production process through the finished goods stage, as well as for product safety and the quality of goods produced. Work Area/Centers Defined As: Airless Pumps, MAC Pumps, EVO Pumps, EC/Amplitude Pumps.

This is how your journey begins

  • You will disassemble and reassemble injection molds to meet production and sampling schedules
  • You will clean molds and mold components and perform preventative maintenance according to the Toolroom checklist
  • You will install replacement cavity forming steel in order to regain cavitation of molds
  • You will complete Toolroom Work Orders and all accompanying Toolroom documentation
  • You will do simple machining (as individual capabilities allow)
  • You will perform preventative maintenance of molding rooms
  • You will perform pin changes and complex conversions in multi-cavity tooling in the Tool Room..

What you will bring on the journey

Education

  • High School graduate

Experience

  • Mechanical and Math ability as demonstrated by test
  • Physical ability to perform activity in Tool Room
  • Perform simple machining, per individual capabilities.
  • Regain molds, per individual capabilities
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate and understand relevant information relating to quality and production issues.
  • Must possess basic math and PC skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Tool Room machines and equipment (preferred)
  • Prior experience in a tooling atmosphere (preferred)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
