Starting hourly rates for teachers are based on career levels identified on GA PDS profiles.
Essential Duties &

Responsibilities:


Ensure the safety of each child enrolled in the class whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in common areas Maintain regular observation and evaluation of children's development and progress as directed by the administration Maintain portfolio for each student Formulates age-appropriate weekly lesson plans for own classroom based on designated curriculum Accept and maintain responsibility daily for the ordered arrangement, appearance, decor, and cleanliness of the learning environment of the classroom Create safe and appropriate diapering, toileting, and handwashing areas and help children with all personal hygiene skills Plan and implement age and developmentally-appropriate classroom practices that will include the areas of physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of the young children Serve as a role model for the children in the areas of attitude, speech, and actions daily Treat each child with dignity and respect for his/her cultural background Encourage children's development in the areas of building self-confidence, problem-solving, and taking responsibility for their actions Interact with each child daily through circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, playground, free play, etc.

Nurture positive relationships with parents and establish continual communication.
Ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed according to Georgia Bright from the Start policies and regulations.

Position Requirements:
Teaching Certificate or Child Development Associate Certificate with two (2) plus years of experience Demonstrated track record of dealing with diverse demographic Excellent listening skills and a teachable spirit with the ability to learn from others Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite applications; and experience working in a donor database, Salesforce experience preferred Creative and critical thinker Demonstrated ability to work in a licensed, quality-rated center Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a group/class setting Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Valid and current satisfactory Comprehensive Records Check Determinationon file using DECAL KOLA site Valid Adult & Infant CPR/First Aid Certificate Physical Requirements:
