GEICO is seeking a Finance Director to support our Marketing organization, while joining the dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis Team. This person will collaborate with Marketing Leadership, inclusive of our Chief Marketing Officer, and add value by creating and implementing actionable data analytics to drive strategic decision-making and provide financial insight. This role is responsible for preparation of analysis, requiring in-depth knowledge of the business and macro-environment to support the build of operational rigor and efficiency/ROI metrics of our marketing spend. Collaboration, enthusiasm, attention to detail, and the ability to set and meet tight deadlines are essential for your success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive monthly business reporting that delivers timely and actionable insights
    • Core functions of this role will include supporting the Month and Quarter close, forecast, pacing and annual operating plan, including cost control
    • Manage creation and standardization of reporting to align with cross functional partners/total business needs
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for the marketing organization, in partnership with Marketing Leadership and Head of Marketing Operations
  • Compile and publish key metrics and KPIs to provide transparency and help inform and support marketing initiatives, inclusive of forecasts and ROI metrics
  • Evolve financial tracking and reporting structure to align with the organization's strategic direction and provide transparency and single source of truth. This includes providing actionable analysis to help business partners gain key insights into spend.
  • Provide thought leadership on our go-to-market model and analyze various marketing investments/channels to help us grow responsibly and in line with strategic goals
  • Drive investment analytics and reporting on expected vs. actual outcomes to continuously improve decision-making and assumptions
  • Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, automate, and scale forecasting and reporting tools, processes, and methodologies
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to guide operational and strategic decision making to answer critical business questions
  • Serve as marketing's advocate and representative within the financial organization to ensure overarching process changes that align with marketing strategy (and vice versa) as the organization shifts in the next 18 months

Qualifications:

  • 8-12 years of relevant work experience that includes some combination of corporate finance and accounting
  • Ability to influence business partners and provide recommendations to drive decision-making and execution
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to utilize financial data to diagnose business strengths and weaknesses and identify implications for potential strategies
  • Ability to work quickly and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related Business degree
  • Strong financial modeling and data analytic skills; experience analyzing marketing investments
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal & presentation) with the ability to understand and communicate difficult concepts
  • A highly motivated, collaborative team player
