Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking highly motivated Civil Designer to join our Environmental Business Line in the Raleigh, North Carolina office, working on rewarding projects within a diverse culture, and having access to exceptional training and career development opportunities.

In this role, you will support the design of various solid waste disposal facilities, earthen dams, and other civil, geotechnical, and remediation projects. Landfill design and stormwater, erosion and sediment control design experience is preferred. Strong AutoCAD and Civil3D experience is required.

The job responsibilities for the position will include but are not limited to:

Development of engineering drawings
Preparing stormwater and grading plans
Completing construction quantity takeoffs for cost estimating
Performing civil engineering design calculations for earthwork
Report preparation and developing technical specifications
Review of construction submittals.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or related field + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or related field
3+ years of experience in civil design and grading plan preparation
Strong ability with AutoCAD Civil3D, including developing grading and surfaces, developing cross-sections and profiles of proposed designs, and preparing engineering drawings.
Familiarity with storm water design calculations or erosion and sediment control plan preparation
Experience performing site inspections, investigations, or construction quality assurance
Experience in solid waste or coal combustion residuals (CCR)
