Job Description
The Culinary Supervisor is a key member of our kitchen management team, responsible for producing consistent, high-quality products that meet and exceed guest expectations. This position requires someone with the ability to lead in the absence of the Sous Chef, manage costs, and effectively train and communicate with the culinary team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring quality and consistency in the preparation of all food items.
- Train and lead kitchen staff in the absence of the Sous Chef, ensuring all team members are performing their duties to standard.
- Collaborate with culinary leaders to manage kitchen operations, including staff training, cost control, and inventory management.
- Maintain clear and efficient communication across resort departments to ensure a cohesive operation.
- Assist with payroll management, monitor kitchen costs and overtime to ensure operational efficiency.
- Uphold and enforce strict health and safety standards in all cooking and food handling processes.
- Strong communication skills and proven leadership abilities.
- Progressive experience in a Hospitality Kitchen is preferred.
- Experience as an advanced line cook is preferred.
- Culinary degree or related hotel experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform basic, intermediate, and advanced culinary skills.
- Capable of standing and walking for the majority of the shift.
- Prepared to lead the team in the absence of the Culinary Leader.
