Assistant Tennis Professional Position at Buck Hill Falls Tennis ClubPosition Details:
  • Season: Summer/Fall
  • Duration: Starting immediately until the end of August, or the end of October (with the possibility of continuation).

Location:
  • Buck Hill Falls, nestled in the beautiful Poconos, Pennsylvania.
  • Convenient access to New York City and Philadelphia.
  • Surrounded by a variety of outdoor activities.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Personable, self-motivated, and positive.
  • Professional, friendly, and customer service-oriented.
  • Able to teach players of all ages.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Teach private lessons to adults and juniors.
  • Conduct clinics for adults and juniors.
  • Promote club events for all age groups.
  • Assist members at the Pro Shop.
  • Develop lesson plans for adults and juniors.
  • Organize social and competitive events.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the facility.
  • Work the Pro Shop as needed.
  • String tennis racquets (training provided if necessary).

Skills/Experience:
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • College tennis playing experience or tournament experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of coaching experience preferred.
  • USPTA or PTR certification preferred.
  • Pickleball experience preferred.
  • Paddle experience preferred.

Compensation:
  • Hourly rate for teaching private lessons and clinics.
  • Hourly rate for off-court work.
  • Additional compensation for stringing racquets.

Professional Growth:
  • Opportunity to pursue a career in Sports Management, particularly in directing Racquet Sports Programs.
