  • Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
  • Prepares payments by accruing expenses;assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements;reconciling accounts.
  • Prepares cash receipts by applying cash;reviews accounts receivable;requests payments on accounts; reconciling accounts.
  • Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements;enforcing adherence to requirements;filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Assists with additional projects as directed
  • Cross-trains in other accounting functions to cover for vacation and other absences.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities;reading professional publications.
Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related business field
  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum three years accounting experience
  • Highly skilled dealing with financial and numeric data
  • Highly skilled at Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable,General Ledger, SFAS Rules
  • Experienced in accounting software
  • Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and organize efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
