Amgen Process Development (PD) organization is seeking an enthusiastic and team-oriented Associate to join the ATO Rapid Analytics (RA) group within Attribute Science (AS). The ATO RA organization focuses on providing high throughput analytical testing services to support pipeline delivery for a wide range of therapeutic biologics in both Pre-Pivotal and Pivotal phases. In this highly matrixed, fast-paced team environment, the primary responsibility of the Associate, under limited supervision, is to perform product quality analysis and provide analytical data to meet project timelines and enable process decisions. The successful candidate will be an integral member of a dynamic team, collaborating with research scientists at multiple Amgen sites and working closely with groups in other functional areas.
Logistics and Planning: Manage logistics tasks including sample receiving, scheduling, forecasting, equipment maintenance, and freezer farm status. Monitor safety and compliance status of the ATO RA lab. Provide production schedule overviews to management and support resource planning. Participate in long-term forecasting meetings with partner teams. Communicate planning and decisions to the ATO RA team for resource and testing planning. Assist RA analysts with sample and testing issues. Analytical Testing: Execute analytical tests within expected turnaround times using assays such as: Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC) Titer Cation Exchange Chromatography (CEX) Reduced Capillary Electrophoresis (rCE-SDS) Non-Reduced Capillary Electrophoresis (nrCE-SDS) Capillary Ion Electrophoresis Focusing (cIEF) ATOLL Compliance and Documentation: Adhere to turnaround times and required metrics for high throughput samples. Document and review results in electronic laboratory notebooks. Author, review, and verify technical documents and reports. Collaboration and Communication: Work with the development team to implement methods, analyze data, and interpret results. Provide technical input and generate written reports as needed. Communicate project updates effectively. Present scientific data in meetings. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain lab instruments and follow equipment cleaning protocols. The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
