Farm Manager

Welcome to Six Stone Jars Farm We are a family-owned and operated agricultural enterprise committed to the stewardship of our 94-acre property. We're hiring a Farm Manager to join our team in Tazewell, TN (about 50 miles northeast of Knoxville). In this role you will oversee the daily operations of our established farm.
We focus on producing clean, nutrient-dense foods while promoting regenerative agricultural practices, humane livestock management, wildlife conservation, and biodiversity. Our farm features 25 beef cattle, over 50 sheep, pasture-raised poultry and eggs, and pasture-raised rabbits.
We offer competitive compensation depending on experience, opportunities for supplementary income from off-farm services and business growth initiatives, and housing for the right person.
What you will be doing:
- Oversee the daily care of beef cattle, sheep, poultry, and rabbits. This includes feeding, treating, and ensuring the well-being of all livestock.
- Maintaining and repairing farm infrastructure, including fencing and irrigation systems, to ensure optimal functionality.
- Managing the harvesting of products, tracking inventory, and oversee the handling and storage of farm products.
- Ensuring the farm operates efficiently and adheres to our commitment to regenerative practices and biodiversity.
- Developing and implementing strategies to enhance farm operations and explore additional income opportunities, both on and off the farm.
This job is for you if you have:
- Previous farm experience is preferred but not required.
- A strong willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
- Proven ability to manage livestock and farm infrastructure.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills are required.
- Integrity, motivation, creativity, and self-direction. A passion for regenerative agriculture and sustainable practices is highly valued.
