This position will oversee the development and execution of service delivery commitments to continuously drive cost performance, productivity and profitable growth while ensuring successful delivery on end-to-end performance requirements for revenue cycle management clients with annual collections less than $10 Billion and 1-19 facilities.

Success depends on driving efficiency, effective partnership, influence, and collaboration across various functions of Optum Insight ensuring initiatives and strategy are targeting delivery of world class billing services, driving patient and customer commitment, and maximizing return through improved bad debt, cash realization and cost efficiencies. This position is responsible for influencing change related to the key functions of Revenue Cycle through collaborative engagement with various matrixed teams to develop and support innovative initiatives that will achieve optimal results while identifying gaps in client support/performance and proposes solutions (technology, services) to drive performance improvement Relationship Management internally and externally.

Primary Responsibilities:

End-to-end responsibility for:
Ensuring the Optum revenue cycle management suite of metrics and KPIs for each client accurately and comprehensively reflect client financial and operational prioritiesDeveloping and managing all client metric reporting definitions and requirements for both internal and external usageMonitoring client level performance against internal Optum RCM metrics and client level SLAs and KPIs in order to facilitate early issue detectionWhere anomalies exist between actual performance and client SLAs or internal Optum RCM KPI targets, assemble and lead multi-functional teams to understand root cause, build and manageremediation plans until expectedperformance levels are achievedUtilize matrix management skills to build multi-functional teams which achieve desired business outcomesFunctions as the primary client interface and an extension and representative of RCM OperationsRegular monitoring of inventory performance (volumes, dollars, capacity, backlogs, etc.) Collaborative internal calendar planning and report out with RCM Operational leadersDevelop, execute, and monitor client-oriented C&P program planning coordination across RCM inclusive of expense reduction planning with functional leaders and revenue growth planning with Client Relationship Executive (CRE)Regular KPI monitoring & deep dive reviews for client SLAs, cost to collect, C&P plan achievement, compliance & policy adherenceFosters effective communication and builds relationships with client and internal matrixed teamsLeads initiatives and performance outcomes by creating a collaborative, high performance work environment, continually addressing issues in operations and performance, and ensuring successful sustainable outcomes in the delivery of client/partner resultsAs business performance and client needs evolve, partner with CRE to manage operationally oriented communications to both client and Optum RCM senior executives necessary to drive successful business outcomes

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of RCM Operations leadership experience overseeing Front, Middle, and/or Back7+ years of client management/consulting experience within the healthcare delivery system with interfacing with enterprise level executives3+ years of formal operations leadership experience leading a RCM team Demonstrated experience building, maintaining rapport and influence with enterprise level executivesIn depth knowledge of client services managementDemonstrated ability to make strategic, operational and administrative decisions in response to emerging conditions and environmental circumstancesProven ability to analyze complex market opportunities and develop creative solutions to a wide variety of unique market problems; advanced consultative selling skills with the ability to successfully construct solutionsProven ability to facilitate organizational change through the implementation of new programs and servicesProven ability to provide recommendations and insight regarding improvements to internal and external processesProven excellent communication, leadership, customer service, and problem-solving skillsProven ability to manage and support organizational change and help assist individuals through the transitionProven solid people skills with direct experience in successfully managing client facing/growth initiatives within highly matrixed organizationsProven ability to portray the organization's mission to improve the health of the people living in the communities served through integration of patient care, research, and education in a caring environmentWilling and able to travel 50% of the time on a sustained basis

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
