2nd Shift (3pm-11pm) CNC Machinist - Minster OH

Job Description

Seeking a diligent Machinist responsible for process improvements and validating new blueprints. The role involves meticulous quality control, as all products are custom-made and machined in-house. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with operators (approximately to ensure the functionality of blueprints through each manufacturing step. A significant aspect of the role includes working with two brand-new, large-scale Pama machines, which are about two stories tall and have a platform of 30 feet by 30 feet. These machines hold over $2 million in tooling and are crucial to the operations. The machinist will handle materials predominantly composed of cast iron and steel, among others like brass and bronze.

Must Haves Skills:

  • $28-31/hr
  • CNC schooling with setups in classes, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints (in school or on job)
  • Able to perform off sets and tool changes
  • Ability to perform quality checks on manual and digital gauges
  • $32-35/hr
  • 3+ years of 3+-axis CNC setup experience - either mill or lathe, but most of the machinery are lathes
  • Ability to perform long, relatively complex setups
  • When press framing is being machined, the run time is really long, so the machinist will set up for the next job
  • The tooling is set on a large frame that is probably 20 feet by 20 feet, and runs take anywhere between 20-25 tools to complete
  • Ability to run multiple machines at once (faster production runs manufacturing parts for the press building team)

Nice to Have Skills:

  • 5-axis set ups
  • Ability to run manual machinery
  • Surface grinders, JIG grinders, Cincinnati Milacron's, mills and lathes
  • They have a really old manual gear machine that is from the 1920's that they still use to make gears
  • Program edits
