JOB OVERVIEW:
The Learning & Development Partner provides project leadership and expertise in the design, development, implementation and facilitation of frontline and NRO training that builds operations talent capability and capacity. The Learning & Development Partner provides support to the frontline experience, NRO processes and any brand-specific training delivery to support the achievement of our brand's business objectives.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Partners closely with the training leader, operations leaders and operations teams to understand the training needs and skill gaps of our frontline Team Members
-Writes training objectives and develops training proposals including selecting the appropriate instructional methodology, timeframe, budget and approach
-Consults with operations partners to ensure training deliverables are simple, aligned and integrated with operations
-Supports the design and development of brand learning solutions, including materials for frontline training, Certified Trainers and Professionals, menu rollouts, and other needs as assigned
-Partners with the training leader in the planning and execution of MIT leadership classes, GM/MP leadership classes, and GM/MP Conferences
-Supports the planning and execution of new restaurant openings with initial training and ongoing training needs
-Supports the Ops Excellence team with the development and design of learning solutions for brand rollouts and new initiatives
-Develops professionally written, clear, user-friendly training materials for all levels of frontline Team Members
-Manages resources (people, materials, time) to ensure deliverables are completed in scope, on schedule, and within budget
-Ensures all training has a high impact on the brand and business initiatives
-Proactively stays abreast of learning and development trends and best practices and regularly implements into materials
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
-Minimum 1 year of restaurant management experience
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to influence others and interact effectively with all levels of the organization
-Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet numerous deadline with strong attention to detail
-Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
-High School Diploma or GED
-Knowledge of adult learning theories
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
-Strong understanding of eLearning (Articulate) and LMS (SumTotal)
-2+ years instructional design, training or related experience
-Proficient in InDesign
-Bachelor's degree in education/educational technology, HR, business or related field
OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must relocate to Orlando, FL (based at the Restaurant Support Center)
-Up to 20-30% domestic travel
-Ability to manage multiple projects
-Passion for teaching and learning
-Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels in the organization
-Detail-oriented and extremely organized, with proven ability to establish priorities and achieve results
-Ability to think creatively; seeks innovative solutions and uses change as a positive and motivating factor
