Zone & Co is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Intelligence Engineer with expertise in Power BI, Azure, and SQL. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for developing actionable insights from complex data sets. Responsibilities

  • Develop new and maintain existing Power BI reports, measures, visualizations & data models
  • Comfortably integrate data from multiple data sources into Power BI models
  • Maintain consistency among multiple report files by using Tabular Editor and ALM Toolkit
  • Perform thorough QA, testing and validation of each new Power BI file update
  • Maintain version control using Azure DevOps, Visual Studio and Git
  • Support clients and dev team via root cause analysis of complex data environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, errors, and issues in source data and Power BI
  • Ability to work autonomously and is self motivated to develop solutions
  • Strong communication internally with ability to interface professionally with customers
  • Problem solving and reasoning in developing data models and creating solutions using appropriate sources

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of prior experience developing data models using Power BI, Power Query & DAX
  • 3-5 years of related experience with product development, system management, business intelligence operations, data warehousing, reporting, and data analytics
  • 3-5 years of prior experience with relational databases, including SQL, and database objects such as views, stored procedures, functions, and their use in a business intelligence environment
  • 3-5 years of prior experience with ETL processes and data integration solutions
  • 3-5 years of prior experience developing and supporting tabular data models using tools such as Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, Visual Studio, Azure Analysis Services, and ALM Toolkit
  • 3-5 years of prior experience with version control processes using Azure DevOps and Git
  • Prior experience in an Azure environment using Azure SQL Databases and Azure Data Factory
  • Prior experience using NetSuite or similar ERP/Accounting systems
  • Prior experience with data validation of accounting concepts and financial reports
  • Industry experience in financial reporting, operations, software and/or services
  • Customer facing business consulting experience
  • Competency with coding languages and tools such as JSON, C#, PowerShell
