Position Summary
The Department of Journalism and Media Production at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) is looking for part-time affiliate faculty to teach.
Responsibilities
- Teach 3 - 9 credit hours in areas like Broadcast Journalism, Journalism, or Public Relations.
- Be available for student consultations.
An affiliate faculty member's duties include teaching classes in person or online, preparing materials, grading student work, providing feedback, and offering academic support.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Journalism or a related field, with at least six years of professional journalism experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Journalism or related field plus at least six years of professional experience in journalism, or a Doctorate in Journalism or related field.
Terms of Employment
Affiliate faculty are part-time, hired per credit hour for specific classes. No benefits are provided. Teaching assignments depend on budget and enrollment.
Salary for Announcement
Final salary based on credit hours assigned at university rate.
