Sr Software Engineer (Remote)

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with 6 to 10 years of proven experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS React JS SQL Spring Boot Java JavaScript and MySQL. This role involves crafting developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions that align with our business goals and contribute to our mission of delivering innovative technology solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design and development of complex software applications using AWS React JS SQL Spring Boot Java JavaScript MySQL and JQUERY

Be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle ensuring high-quality code and alignment to standard processes.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers encouraging a collaborative and productive team environment.

Collaborate with multi-functional teams to capture and analyze requirements ensuring that software solutions meet business needs.

Develop and implement scalable and efficient software architectures that support the company growth and innovation.

Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.

Fix and resolve technical issues ensuring the stability and performance of software applications.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies incorporating new tools and techniques into the development process.

Optimize application performance ensuring fast and reliable user experiences.

Build and maintain comprehensive documentation for software applications including design specifications and user manuals.

Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards safeguarding critical information.

Supply to the continuous improvement of development processes tools and methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

Demonstrate strong experience with AWS React JS SQL Spring Boot Java JavaScript and MySQL JQuery

Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle sophisticated technical issues.

Show proficiency in crafting and implementing scalable software architectures.

Good to have Airtable experience

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Good to have: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Certified ScrumMaster

SALARY AND OTHER COMPENSATION:
Applications will be accepted until 8/30/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $68K – $131K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
