We offer a full range of mental and behavioral health services, foster care and social services, housing, continuing adult education and early childhood education programs to Medi-Cal eligible individuals and families throughout Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Orange, Placer, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Solano, Stanislaus, Stockton, Tulare and Ventura Counties.

Population Served: 0-18


The Differential Response (DR) program supports families identified by child welfare to reduce the need for more formal child welfare involvement.

Serves family and youth ages 0-18 in the community.

Services include needs assessment, treatment planning, rehabilitation, therapy and case management services and family-centered care planning provided in the community.

Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm


The Program Supervisor hires, develops, trains, and manages program staff to ensure quality services to youth and families, utilizing shadowing, coaching, and/or other activities that allow the observation of staff in action.

Coordinates and supervises daily program operations, assures adherence to policy and procedures, regulatory and licensing standards. Ensures fiscal stewardship of program funds. Actively participates with cross-functional teams. Works within the vision, mission and philosophy of the agency.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Develops and supervises staff including hiring, coaching, training, disciplining and
terminating.

  • Oversees and supports the implementation of treatment plans.
  • Ensures family voice and is culturally responsive to internal and external customers.
  • Consults with clinical and medical staff about treatment plans, youth and family
issues, progress and needs.

  • Completes all required documentation and ensures the same with direct reports.
  • Supports staff in following all risk management and incident reporting procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with all policy and procedures including adherence to all
licensing, quality, Information Technology (IT), Human Resources (HR), compliance and

regulatory standards.

  • Ensures clinical documentation and quality assurance meets both agency and payor
standards, including audit ready charts and continuous quality improvement.

  • Ensures and monitors defined outcome achievement for youth and families and
satisfaction levels for youth, families and referring workers and agencies.

  • Partners with county referring departments, agencies and the community to ensure
comprehensive care. May assist a youth and family with advocating for their own

needs.

  • Manages operations including utilization of resources such as all administrative
electronic systems.

  • Pro actively identifies potential conflicts, leads parties to consensus and develops
same skills in direct reports.

  • Facilitates and coordinates work groups as well as participation in cross functional
teams.

  • Assumes a leadership role in the development of the team.
  • Provides a variety of learning opportunities for staff including in classroom courses
and field supervision and coaching.

  • Works closely with the clinical program manager to ensure full implementation of the
agency service philosophy.

  • May be responsible for Case load.
  • May meet with clients in the field and have a productivity expectation.
  • Position specific duties and responsibilities may very depending upon program.
  • Performs other related responsibilities, as assigned, to support specific
department/business needs.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

A combination of education and experience equivalent to a:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (B.A./B.S.).
o Bachelors in Behavioral Science preferred.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in social or mental health services delivery or residential care supervision.
