What Work You Will be Responsible For:

  • Work closely with members of the Independence Department to assist with current Firm Risk and Independence processes, identify process improvement opportunities, and contribute to innovation through implementation of enhancements that mitigate risks, create high client value, process efficiencies, and/or enhanced quality.
  • Oversee the Independence due-diligence processes ahead of M&A transactions.
  • Research and identify client affiliate relationships to support the conflict checking process.
  • Apply the independence rules established by the SEC, AICPA, PCAOB, DOL, and other regulatory bodies to assist engagement teams evaluate potential conflicts and comply with applicable external laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures to help manage the Firm's regulatory, litigation, and reputational risk.
  • Assist with the implementation of technology solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of experience working in a public accounting firm or financial services firm
  • 6+ years of regulatory experience
  • Six Sigma green certification

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:

  • Solid experience managing multiple competing priorities, while continuing to maintain a high level of work quality.
  • Extensive organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently towards the completion of projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively articulate complex issues and communicate with impact.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products.
