Job Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and uphold Rule 3 licensing Rules and Regulations at all times
  • Assist Teacher in creating weekly/bi-weekly lesson plans in accordance with Creative Curriculum
  • To assist in providing developmentally appropriate and stimulating activities, both indoor and out
  • Keep up to date with Rule 3 licensing required trainings (CPR/First Aid, SIDS/AHT as well as curriculum/assessment trainings
  • Work closely with families to encourage mutual cooperation
  • Teach proper eating habits and personal hygiene
  • Assist with diapering, toileting, meal time procedures, cleaning duties and room arrangements
  • Maintaining bulletin boards
  • Clean and sanitize cots, toys, tables etc.
  • Attend and participate in all meetings

Education and Experience:

  • Experience/familiarity with child development assessment tools preferred
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred, but willing to train

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and experience working with culturally and racially diverse populations in lower socio-economic conditions
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is highly valued
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Understands the importance of customer service and being professional
  • Demonstrates skills in conflict management.
  • Computer literate with skills in MS Office
  • Use good judgement in recognizing the scope of role

This position is located in an office building with some duties and responsibilities able to be performed remotely. The building is accessible and smoke free. This position works during normal business hours and may include evening and/or weekend hours.

This position also requires travel to and from community settings, schools, as well as shelters and the homes of families. This position may include transporting of children and families.
