WordPress Developer responsibilities include building clients websites from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function. They will be responsible for assisting with search engine optimization services, both on-site and off-site. The specialist will work alongside web designers and other SEOs as necessary. Web Developer will report work performed and maintain records for later use. Must have proven design experience

Duties and Responsibilities

• Must have extensive knowledge of WordPress and design experience

• Must know how to set up SSL certificates

• Experience with SEO techniques

• On-page optimization skills like SEO copywriting and proper keyword usage.

• Must know how to set up Yoast and the importance of SEO/SEM

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices

• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices

• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases

• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs

• Create and maintain software documentation

• Front & Back end configuration

• Photoshop knowledge

• SSL hookup

• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site and clients sites

• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

• Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent

• Responsible for on-site optimizations including meta descriptions, SEO copywriting, keyword density, site structure, and other tasks as necessary.

• Responsible for off-site optimizations including NAP maintenance and outreach.

• Keyword research.

• Maintain associated Google Analytics and Search Console properties for clients.

• Willing to learn and improve on technical skills and hone your abilities.

• Compiling data on activities and analytics reports on a monthly basis.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven working experience in web programming

• Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS

• Experience with WordPress

• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices

• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development

• Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools

• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills

• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen

• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.

• Outreach and other link-building activities.

• Image optimization.

• Able to work with minimal supervision

• Knowledge of microdata formats like Schema a plus.

• BS in computer science or a related field
