Duties
This position serves as a Fuel Distribution System Worker to operate and maintain fuel distribution equipment and associated mobile equipment used in the transport of aviation fuels; to issue and maintain hazardous material (HAZMAT) and waste in accordance with local, state, federal, DoD, and Coast Guard requirements.
Performing daily, weekly, monthly fuel farm inspections and service equipment.Operating equipment to transfer fuel from storage tanks to aircraft tank trucks or similar vehicles.Performing preventive maintenance, repairing tires, lubricating vehicles, replacing accessories on motor vehicle equipment.As required using hand trucks, pallet jacks, stock picking carts, various hand tools, etc.Maintaining Material Safety data sheets (MSDS), and the Hazardous Material Authorized User's ListOrdering and maintaining personal protective equipment and proper clean up and containment materials for HAZMAT use. Managing hazardous waste in accordance with local, state, federal, DOD and Coast Guard requirements to include proper storage and record keeping.Coordinating pick-up for transportation to disposal site. Performing weekly walk around of the satellite accumulation areas (SAA) and providing assistance to the unit environmental coordinator with their duties to include assisting in preparations for periodic inspections, general administration, and compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.

Recruitment Incentive: Selectee(s) for this position who are newly appointed to a permanent position are authorized to receive a one-time recruitment incentive of 25% of the salary, including locality for this position. Receipt of the bonus will require a 12-month service agreement.

d. 7. If requesting consideration under Executive Order 13473, you must submit proof. To confirm eligibility for appointment based on the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2019 (NDAA), submit a copy of the marriage certificate to the military member and a copy of your spouses' active duty military orders (e.g., most recent military orders, PCS orders, etc.). Spouses of military members who are on retirement or separation PCS orders from active duty are not eligible to be appointed unless the member was injured with a 100% rating; or was released/discharged from active duty due to the member's death while on active duty. Widows or widowers, who are not remarried, of military service members who were killed on active duty must submit a DD-1300.
