This is an Essential-Employee Position. The employee will be required to report to work during emergencies AND inclement weather situations.

Work schedule may require some occasionally mandatory overtime on holidays AND weekends.

The individual selected for this position will:

Leader Responsibilities:


Distributes work and instructions to other workers received from supervisors and demonstrates proper work methods, materials and tools needed to perform assigned tasks.


Urges or advises other workers to follow supervisor's instructions and to meet deadlines by reporting to supervisors on status and progress of work, answering supervisors' questions on overall work operations and problems.


Services Electronic Sensing and Control Systems:


Maintains, evaluates, adjusts and repairs existing electronic sensing and control equipment in support of smart building controls (lighting, electrical) operations.


Installs, modifies, operates, maintains, calibrates, evaluates, troubleshoots, adjusts and repairs smart building control (Direct Digital Controls (DDC), lighting controls, electrical controls components and twisted pair cabling as well as related mechanical, electrical equipment.

Installs, operates, maintains, calibrates and troubleshoots sensors, actuators, device controllers and related interface with building equipment. This includes hard-wired and wireless sensing equipment.

Performs Operational Tests:
Coordinates efforts with engineering personnel on changes to equipment and operating specifications.

Evaluates and adjusts new system installations and repairs existing systems during operational tests.


Operates the Building Automation System (BAS) terminal and other related equipment to display and print point status, change set points and alarm limits and manually controlled points.

Operates DDC software and makes recommendations for engagements to screen and control sequences for energy performance.


Acknowledges and follows-up on system error alarms log report on a daily basis to the BAS terminal to maintain system integrity.
