We are currently seeking a full-time, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a psychiatric and mental health focus for medication management and history/physical assessments. They are responsible for initial mental health/psychiatric evaluations, medication prescribing and follow up. They will:
- Provide psychiatric h&p assessments
- Perform rounds
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies
- Order medications
- Manage ongoing care through consultation with our psychiatrist
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner studies
- Current active and unrestricted State of Minnesota License from the board of medicine/nursing
- DEA Registration
- Knowledge of regulatory standards governing care delivery and operations
- Proficient in the use of computers; experience with Electronic Health Records is preferred
- Candidates with 1 year of experience post masters/doctorate degree are strongly preferred
