Responsibilities
- The Network Administrator will be responsible for providing documentation evidence of any and/or all work product and documents related to
- Building configuring and monitoring firewall, intrusion detection, anti-virus and patch deployment systems for all information systems across all IRP worksites.
- Building, configuring and managing UNIX authentication.
- Monitoring desktop backup system for end users; maintain the backups of critical infrastructure servers.
- Managing computational computers for scientists.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting the installation, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of agency wide-area networks (WANs) and local-area networks (LANs).
- Experience assisting in the design and management of the WAN infrastructure and any processes related to the WAN.
- Experience providing Production Support of the Network, including: day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution client Networks. Provides second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Experience supporting the dispatch of circuit and hardware vendors involved in the resolution process. Supports the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Knowledge in various software systems and architectures, communications protocols: and network hardware devices.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust.
