Key Responsibilities:


• Provide supervision and leadership to a group of engineers and skilled technicians in the manufacturing technology (MT) function.

• Ensure PSM technology elements are adequately resourced, and systems are in place. Engage MT team members to lead PSM elements and PSM compliance driven in cooperation with the site PSM leader

• Act as an advisor providing key (MT) resources to site/unit operations leadership team and may become actively involved leading team, as required, to meet EHS, production schedules, productivity goals and growth plans.

• Has knowledge of best practices and how manufacturing technology (MT) organization integrates with key stakeholders throughout integrated operations, product management, R&D and contract manufacturers; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the business/processes in the market.

• Guide MT organization in the prioritization of process technology, continuous improvement, and capital /growth projects and activities using managing processes and tools in the execution of site and business goals

• Work in collaboration with operations; contribute to and executes business, functional, process development/or product strategies. Impact of work reflects directly on the overall team for quality of process execution and responsiveness to business needs.

• Operate with latitude for action and decision-making; uses overall MT managing processes and systems as well as judgment to make decisions that affect own area of responsibility within the business/function.

• Solve technical or operational problems (with or without vague/unstructured aspects); takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment


Qualifications (required):


• BS, MS, or Ph.D. degree in Engineering or related field.

• 7-10 years working experience in manufacturing technology, product quality, or manufacturing operations roles.

• At least 3-5 years of leadership experience.

• Proven experience and clear role model in work safety and operational discipline

• Working knowledge of how Research, Manufacturing Technology, Manufacturing Operations, and Supply Chain function together to execute the business improvement processes.

• Experience managing an organization to ensure high performance in a dynamic technology and marketplace, and prioritizing talent development.

• Effective communication and influence skills, with proven aptitude for inspiring, leading, and managing others, as well as building effective teams.

• Strong technical and people skills, along with an elevated level of initiative and problem solving are required to be successful in this role.

• Capable of managing programs with high technical and market uncertainty.

Qualifications (preferred):


• Experience in semi-conductor, engineering management, discrete manufacturing or R&D/Process Development background is preferred.

• Experience in Direct line management (will initially oversee 8-10 engineers in this role) highly preferred

• Willing to travel up to 15% domestically to other site locations required

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training/certification/ statistical process control (SPC) experience preferred
