You Can Expect:
80% Clinical 20% Administrative M-F; No Weekends, No Major Holidays except on call Team 5 MDs and 5 APPs; 1:1 goal Call 1:7, Hospitalist for inpatient admissions Satellite office rounding Comprehensive labs with same day turnaround EMR: Clinic Varian, Hospital Cerner Strong support from executive leadership including physician leadership training programs Administratively: Supports, leads and models the vision, mission and values of Centra Provides strategic system leadership for Centra Hematology Oncology Clinic May oversee and provide evidence-based process improvement recommendations to ensure quality of care Participates in the development of policies and guidelines (clinical and administrative) to correct and improve service to the Client/Community Physician Compensation & Benefits Competitive Compensation $50K Sign on Bonus Additional Benefits Package will include: Malpractice 403(b) and 457(b) tax deferred savings plan; Immediate vested employer contribution match Health benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and Supplemental) Incentives CME - $7,500 with 5 days for CME Allowable Time off 224 hours Up to $15K in relocation assistance Up to $100,000 in student loan reimbursementRequirements:
MD/DO Board Certified/Eligible in Hematology Oncology Experience Preferred About CentraCentra Medical Group (CMG) is comprised of 500+ Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers and serves 600,000 central and southern Virginians. CMG offers an integrated healthcare system, including 4 hospitals, 5 regional medical centers, 70+ physician practices, including primary care, medical, and surgical specialists. The recently renovated 75,000+ square foot Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center, brings all comprehensive cancer services under one roof. Along with our excellent support from pathologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, interventional radiologists, general surgeons, and subspecialists. Our onsite genetic counselor provides comprehensive genetic counseling and testing. Patients are enrolled in NSABP and NCI cancer clinical trials. Alan B Pearson Regional Cancer Center has a QOPI, CoC and NAPBC Accreditation.
Lynchburg General Hospital is recognized nationally for its oncology, cardiac, and neurosciences programs, as well as nursing. With 358 licensed beds, it is an emergency and critical care center specializing in cardiology, emergency medicine, orthopedics, oncology, neurology, and neurosurgery.
