Golf Course Equipment Mechanic

City of Seattle parks and Recreation is seeking a fulltime golf course equipment mechanic. This is one of three positions that service the 4 city of Seattle golf courses. The position works independently and is under general supervision of the golf course superintendent. You will be performing diagnostic maintenance and repair on a variety of turf and construction equipment.
We offer a 40-hour work week with only occasional overtime paid at double time. City employees get 11 paid holidays, 2-4 personal holidays, 12-30 vacation days and 12 sick days per year. Vacation accrual rate is based on length of employment. The city offers a generous benefit package for you and your spouse/partner and children with excellent retirement pension plan. All tools are provided, and you have access to City truck during working hours. Free golf and driving range use is included at the four city courses and meal discounts are offered during your shift. Yearly boot and clothing allowance of $350 is also offered.
This is a union represented position and yearly COLA pay increase has been negotiated through 2026.
