Job Description
Providing legal advice and services to management and business departments concerning commercial banking transactions, vendor agreements, litigation matters, legal and regulatory requirements and expectations, and corporate governance issues.Drafting, negotiating and reviewing complex legal documents pertaining to commercial banking, credit and vendorsWorking closely with business lines to ensure the timely identification and mitigation of business, legal and regulatory risksAssigning, monitoring and providing guidance to outside counsel handling commercial transactions and litigationReviewing, drafting and updating internal policies and proceduresHandling civil information subpoenas, grand jury subpoenas, restraining orders, governmental, judicial and other inquiries, requests and ordersActively participating in risk management, including without limitationActively participating in other daily work/tasks of the legal team as neededMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
