Serve
as Clinical Research Biller for the Division of Hematology-Oncology Clinical
Trials Unit. In this role, your primary responsibilities include: performance
of project management, distribution of weekly billing reports and daily billing
volume reports, review and approval of all research billing charges in
CareConnect, management of the billing approvals in CareConnect, Excel, hard
copy paper bills, or Excel spreadsheets that are provided by the billing
offices. You will work with the study teams to reconcile billing charges via
phone, E-mail, or in person and work with CareConnect Super Users to report any
billing corrections or system problems. Quality control of registration and
billing errors, correction of billing, development and maintenance of billing
and Velos update reports. You will develop reports and work with Management on
billing related projects. Review research protocols to the budget to validate
exams and determine if a contract amendment is needed or to determine the
correct billing path. Provide overall billing support to the Finance Office and
serve as back-up for divisional needs. Assist with special projects as
requested.

Salary
offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to,
qualifications, experience, and equity. The full hourly salary range for this
position is $ $53.40.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's
    degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • Working
    knowledge of financial processes, policies, and procedures
  • Strong
    knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems
  • Proficiency
    in the use of spreadsheet and database software
  • Strong
    interpersonal skills, analytical skills, service orientation, active listening,
    critical thinking, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high-volume
    environment, organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication
    skills, sound judgment and decision making.
  • Ability
    to function effectively as a member of a team.
  • Ability
    to adapt to changing priorities.

    knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on
    protecting University resources.
