JOB DUTIES /
RESPONSIBILITIES:
_Provide_ speech therapy in accordance with the American Speech & Hearing Association's scope of practice guidelines in Nassau/Suffolk counties. _Assist_ the educational team in the development of or revision to the child's IEP.
_Record _and document all session notes manually or in an electronic format.
_Develop_ and submit required documentation, including Annual Reviews reports, Quarterly Reports, and IEP goals updates.
_Regularly_ evaluate and assess the efficacy of the treatment and service delivery plan in place for the child and recommend changes or revisions to the IEP as needed.
_Meet_ with families as needed to provide education, support and information with regard to their child's language, communication, speech and feeding needs. _Establish_ and maintain positive and productive working relationships with care team and families.
Formal education required:
_Master's_ degree with a major in speech-language pathology.
Requirements:
_Initial Speech Pathology Certificate_
_Must have your TSSLD (We can help you apply for it if you don't yet have it)_
Salary:
_$35-$45 per hour with $200/month stipend after 3 months (depending on setting and location)_
