Duties

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with a new hire training program that is accessible and conducive to diverse and varied learner needs.


Train newly onboarded NCTC officers on relevant topics, issues, and skills designed to establish foundational abilities in various intelligence community and counterterrorism-related jobs.

Ensure onboarding of new hires, access management, and compliance requirements align with class schedule and course requirements.

Leverage subject matter expertise to formulate and deliver training content for new hire officers.

Formulate class schedules, lesson plans, learning objectives, and student assessments.

Implement a multimodal learning environment that is responsive to student needs.


Continuously adapt training plans based on student feedback and needs, future organizational skill requirements, and mitigating skill gaps; plan and implement initiatives and define the direction of future training development.


Assist in planning, identifying, delivering, and evaluating all available courses, workshops, conferences, and outreach and engagement opportunities that meet the needs of newly hired intelligence officers.


Contribute to identifying, evaluating, and implementing training environments and resources that support positive student outcomes; provide direction, guidance, and feedback to ensure resources are effectively employed.

Link new officers with Employee Resource Groups critical to the support of diversity and inclusion, recruitment and retention, mentoring, and enhancing networking opportunities


Oversee the development, identification, scheduling, delivery, and evaluation of courses, workshops, conferences, database training, systems training, and meetings that meet the needs of employees.

    Must have supervisory approval to apply to the Joint Duty Assignment.
    Must be currently at the grade level of the detail. *No Temporary Promotion Opportunity

    Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:
Substantive expertise in CT intelligence operations, analytic tradecraft, intelligence writing and briefing, tools and databases, communication, and collaboration methods. Ability to translate expertise for student audiences.

Extensive organizational and interpersonal skills to facilitate diverse forums, manage competing priorities, and advocate new ideas/concepts/processes.

Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Superior ability to communicate complex and sensitive information clearly and concisely.


Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team or collaborative environment, mentor junior colleagues, and demonstrate organizational and interpersonal problem-solving skills.

2 years experience within NCTC or a CT related field.

Job Interview Travel:
Candidates from outside the Washington, D.C. area may be selected for a telephone, teleconference, or in-person interview.

Salary Determination:

A current Federal Government employee, selected for a detail, will be assigned to the position at their current grade and salary.
