Indiana University's Office of Online Education (OOE) is responsible for protecting and maintaining the academic integrity of an IU degree, facilitating collaborative opportunities presented by online education, and utilizing IU's scale, resources, reputation, and diversity of offerings to expand online education offerings to students located in Indiana, as well as nationally and internationally. OOE oversees growth and development of more than 200 online degree and certificate programs that to date enroll almost 10,000 students annually.

The Office of Online Education is a university-wide office that provides strategic leadership to IU stakeholders in delivering online education. In 2022, the IU 2030 Strategic Framework endorsed by President Whitten challenged the university to triple the number of students in online programs, and OOE is pleased to be developing programs and services with IU's campuses to meet this strategic goal.



Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Reports to the senior strategist for IU Online.
  • Oversees project management of IU Online marketing objectives, including documentation of project requirements and specifications, to align with overall unit marketing calendars.
  • Supports management of marketing and communications (MARCOM) team's project management software channels by assigning project milestones and deadlines to appropriate colleagues in University Communications and Marketing and the Office of Online Education. Uses professional discretion and tact to follow up with colleagues as needed to comply with project timetables.
  • Liaises directly with external suppliers to order and maintain IU Online promotional and educational materials and oversee inventory and fulfillment needs.
  • Manages mailings to students and/or other IU Online stakeholders; responsible for updating and sharing departmental contact lists.


EDUCATION
Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 1 year of project management and/or marketing experience.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in marketing or a related field of work

SKILLS

Required

  • Familiarity with project management software platforms
  • Prior cross-functional collaboration with professional colleagues to achieve shared goals
  • Comfortable working with, and adhering to, deadlines
  • Strong time management skills, with an emphasis on strength of communication
  • Ability to evaluate issues and use prudent reasoning and discretion to resolve
  • Emphasizes pride in his/her/their work and a positive approach to work environment

Preferred

  • Experience with Basecamp, Slack, and/or Confluence
  • Experience executing concurrent, diverse projects


Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds.



Bloomington, Indiana

This is an in-person role with the eligibility to work a hybrid schedule (mix between in-person work and remote), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.



$18.00 – $20.00 per hour based upon experience



25-29 hours per week, generally between 8AM – 5PM, Monday – Friday.
