Job Description SummaryThe Propulsion Engineer develops Work Scopes for customer engines, dispositions engine hardware, and become a subject matter expert on jet propulsion for the CFM56, CF34-8, CF34-10, PP20, CT7, T700, and F110 engine programs. The propulsion engineer must provide a safe, high quality and cost-efficient product for our customers, while working in conjunction with other areas in the Strother Field manufacturing environment.Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop incoming engine work scopes that meets customer needs, adhering to contract demands
  • Work cross functionally with quality and design engineers to ensure that new processes achieve established metrics
  • Provide technical responses and recommendations to customers as well as internal business units
  • Support and meet production schedules and quality initiatives all within budget boundaries
  • Investigate hardware and work closely with design engineering to resolve hardware issues and submit Deviation Requests
  • Promote and build a positive working relationship with all members of the site
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in computer skill and MS Office

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or institution strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years in manufacturing, engineering, quality, materials, technology
