You'll be responsible for:
Directing the structural design and analysis of rail and tunnel projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Providing expertise in the development and review of structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Collaborating with project managers to ensure successful project delivery within specified timelines and budgets.
Conducting risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential structural issues.
Acting as a technical authority in rail and tunnel structural engineering, providing guidance to project teams and mentoring junior engineers.
Staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance the technical capabilities of the team.
Conducting thorough reviews of structural engineering deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant standards.
Implementing and enforcing quality assurance processes within the structural engineering team.
Engaging with clients to understand their requirements and expectations for rail and tunnel projects.
Participating in client presentations and discussions, addressing technical inquiries and providing solutions.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Proven experience (10 years) in rail and tunnel structural engineering.
Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro) and BIM tools.
Experience working on multi-billion-dollar capital infrastructure projects or programs.
Experience working in the rail and tunnel structural sector.
Experience in a manager-level position.
Previous experience working with NJT, MNRR, LIRR, NYCT, and MTA.
Industry qualification or chartership e.g. PMP, PMI, CMI, DBIA.
You'll also have:
Master's degree preferred.NJT, MNRR, LIRR, NYCT, and MTA experience are preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
