Job Description
Environmental Responsibilities
Health Responsibilities
Develop and manage occupational health programs.Conduct health surveillance and monitor employee health and wellbeing.Ensure the availability of medical response for workplace injuries and illnesses.
Safety Responsibilities
Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures.Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits.Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.Provide safety training and education to employees.Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
General EHS Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies regarding EHS matters.Maintain accurate EHS records and documentation.Continuously improve EHS management systems and practices.Communicate EHS policies, procedures, and updates to all levels of the organization.Manage the EHS budget and allocate resources effectively.Oversee EHS-related services provided by external vendors.Engage with stakeholders to promote EHS initiatives.Track and report on EHS performance metrics to senior management.

The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, or related technical field.10+ years of experience in operational manufacturing EHS roles, with 5+ years of managerial experience.Effective ability to influence plant, production, operations, maintenance, and other area site management to drive EHS performance and results.Responsible for supporting company interface with regulatory authorities for regulatory visits, requests, permit submissions, and compliance responses.Experience in root cause/corrective action methodologies.Experience in Process Safety Management (PSM) preferred.EHS regulatory knowledge, including OSHA, RCRA, and PSM.Experience managing and overseeing ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications.CSP or CIH preferred.Ability to excel in a cross-functional and matrix organization.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Authorized to work in the United States.
