Salary:

This position is being offered with an annual base salary range of $145,000.00 to $320,000.00 which includes Title 38 Market pay.


This position is located in the Office of the Chief Medical Office (OCMO), Operations Support Office (OS), United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

The purpose of this position is to serve as the CBP Chief Medical Officer to CBP executive leadership.

The incumbent provides high level and sensitive advice and counsel to executive leadership on a variety of highly complex medical issues and key and emerging medical policy issues, priorities, and program direction of critical importance to CBP.

While serving as a Supervisory Physician, your duties will include:
Researching matters and providing executive leadership with recommended policy proposals and solutions;
Providing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP with the application of professional medical knowledge and direction in national and strategic programs and initiatives provided by management to deal constructively with the escalating health and medical threats to migrants in custody of CBP;
Providing oversight, clinical direction, consultation, and medical authority for CBP's emergency medical services (e.g., EMT, Advance EMP, paramedic, and austere medic) within CBP;
Leading the overall medical, health and safety vision and direction for the organization and providing medical guidance to CBP executives; and

Identifying opportunities to collaborate and assess medical standards with Program Offices and other health delivery systems to achieve affordable outcomes.
