The Team: The Focus is on empowering energy companies to perform optimally by automating data-intensive workflows around the Geoscience dataset.

By optimizing workflows and delivering trusted data for decision-making and analytics, EDM increases operational efficiency; breaks down technological and functional siloes; and enables cross-company collaboration.

Responsibilities and Impact:

The team is seeking an Associate Director who will, alongside commercial teams, will be a key player in developing and executing critical team processes that support the development and achievement of the EDM for Energy business strategy. This role requires effective collaboration skills while having a commercial-focused mindset in achieving the team's strategic priorities. In addition to being a hands-on Product Manager, the Associate Director will be an integral team member and collaborate across adjacent teams to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with clients and internal team members to identify and analyse business and technical needs through workshops, interviews, documentation analysis and other techniques
  • Document and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements to ensure that the requirements are clear, comprehensive, and testable.
  • Participate in Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Work with UI/UX designers to generate UX/UI design artefacts (wireframes, mock-ups, site maps, etc.)
  • Assist the team in generating business cases.
  • Assist with client facing documentation, including users guides and marketing material.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technology groups to facilitate communication both ways.
  • Review client change requests.
  • Facilitate meetings and ensure decisions/actions are captured, communicated and tracked.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $92,000 to $160,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For:

  • Working knowledge of the Well Life Cycle, subsurface operations.
  • Experience using relevant G&G software like Kingdom, Petra, Petrel, Techlog, Geographix, and GIS applications.
  • Familiarity with upstream databases and forecasting tools like Peloton WellView, ComboCurve, Aries, OpenWorks, Quorum.
  • Experience with E&P data vendors like S&P EDS, S&P Enerdeq, Enverus, R360, TGS.
  • Experience with core sample databases (like BEG-CRC Continuum) and core analysis databases(like Core Laboratories RAPID).

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with geospatial data and GIS applications.
  • Experience with E&P M&A process, from VDR to post-acquisition data migration activities.
  • Knowledge of PPDM and OSDU data models.
  • Experience in upstream O&G preferred. Experience in other forms of Energy (Carbon Capture, Wind, Solar, geothermal) a plus.
