Sr Quality Coordinator

OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for supporting our team of labeling specialists to develop, maintain and assure the regulatory compliance of product label information, including nutrition, ingredient declarations, allergens, and claims.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop an understanding of FDA and USDA regulations and General Mills policies.
  • Assess product reformulation impact to labels; including review of nutrition, ingredient, allergen and claim information.
  • Develop and maintain paperwork for regulatory and internal substantiation requirements.
  • Support labeling and claims substantiation and validation efforts.
  • Develop and inform communication for consumer and customer inquiries pertaining to labeling.
  • Contribute to, review and approve artwork, packaging, graphics and text of existing and proposed product labels to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with Labeling & Regulatory Compliance team members to support project and business work.
  • Support regulatory projects, including metrics and data maintenance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum BS in Food Science, Nutrition or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable supporting a team.
  • Evidence of strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong system acumen and computer skills.
  • Project Management: Effective organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, strong follow-up, and proficient in multitasking and prioritization to meet deadlines.
  • Takes personal initiative to broaden knowledge base.
  • Desire to gain technical knowledge in labeling and nutrition regulations.

Salary Range



The salary range for this position is $ $ / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
