Painter Full Time 2nd Shift

Gemini is currently seeking a Painter to join our Plaques team in Cannon Falls, MN on the 2nd shift. The minimum starting pay is $19.63/hour with an additional 10% shift differential for working the 2nd shift. Ideal candidate has a mechanical aptitude and good attention to detail with openness and flexibility to work around the plant. This is a great opportunity to work with a fun team and produce high-quality, custom, one-of-a-kind metal plaques and to cross train and learn continuously.

A day in the life of a Painter at Gemini includes:

  • Assembles letters or other products to be sprayed and paint supplies required for the order.
  • Mixes appropriate quantity of paint for the order, ensuring that the paint is properly mixed as indicated by local conditions and matching paint chips or samples if required.
  • May mask parts as required prior to applying paint or texturing. Removes masking materials after completion of drying cycle.
  • Sprays products as required, ensuring that paint is applied in a manner consistent with customer requirements and company quality standards.
  • Inspects finished products for function, aesthetics and quality.
  • Monitoring accuracy and completeness of order including mountings and hardware.
  • Constructs shipping cartons for the shipping of finished products.
  • Maintains familiarity with shipping procedures, bill of lading, etc. and prepares products for UPS/truck pick-up required.
  • Reviews production orders to assure requirements of the job.
  • Maintains awareness of order dates, reworks and remakes, while prioritizing workflow accordingly.
  • The work environment is clean, bright, and hot around equipment.
  • Reporting to our Plant Supervisor
