The Medical Director, Medical & Scientific Affair, Neurology for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for providing expert scientific, medical & clinical guidance supporting our product development in neurology.

This position is part of the Medical & Scientific Affairs team and will be fully remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Medical & Scientific Affairs Innovation Team and report to the Sr. Director, Medical & Scientific Affairs, Innovation responsible for redefining the role of Medical and Scientific Affairs in the innovation at Beckman Coulter. You will provide expert medical & clinical guidance to support development and adoption of the best in clast Neurology portfolio of biomarkers.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide expert scientific, medical and clinical guidance to key stakeholders internally (R&D, product management, clinical, regulatory) and externally.
  • Support critical innovation initiatives by gathering and providing medical input to support new product development and post-launch success, building scientific and clinical leader strategic collaborations, and establishing research and other partnerships.
  • Lead assessments of current clinical practice, scientific publications, and new technology to identify unmet diagnostic needs within patient care pathways to support identifying and prioritizing new product opportunities in neurology.
  • Develop Integrated Evidence Plans for Neurology Portfolio and support the design of clinical trials and evidence generation across all phases of product lifecycle.
  • Support the development of publication plans, including peer-reviewed publications and medical conference presentations, and help communicate the value of Beckman's neurology portfolio.
  • Identify, develop, and manage an extended network of advisors and key opinion leaders to support Beckman's objectives.
  • Assists in the definition of product requirements and market strategies and communicate within internal teams to share information on future trends in clinical medicine, medical diagnostics and new technology.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably within business or sciences) with 20+ years of progressive commercial or financial experience or Masters degree with 18 years experience
  • MD and/or PhD is required plus the necessary experience and track record of success in Medical & Scientific Affairs roles.
  • The ability to establish significant credibility and foster relationships across all levels of the organization to develop strong followership.
  • Strong relationships and experience working with and supporting scientific and clinical leader relationships in both industry and academic settings in neurology.
  • Experience with developing integrated evidence plans, clinical study protocols, and/or as clinical trial investigator in Neurology.
  • Track record of publications and presentations at scientific/medical conferences
  • Understanding of quality, compliance, and regulatory processes for medical devices.

The salary range for this role is $200K - $240K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
