The Senior Manager - NA Regional Operations, reporting directly to the NA Operations Lead, is entrusted with a primary responsibility of ensuring end to end operational delivery for all Operations service delivery tasks for multiple business lines, according to clear Service Level Agreements within the region covering both Onshore (Internal) and Offshore delivery teams (AZ Services India). They are responsible for managing internal direct reports across GBO NA covering multiple lines of business and leading highly motivated and engaged teams, and actively contributing to deliver expected business results. Direct and overall service delivery responsibility towards the Underwriting Business Partners and the end customers as coming from the Onshore/Offshore teams supporting multiple lines of business of region North America. They will work with stakeholders across AzC NA Functions to help identify strategic initiatives to support the business goals by leveraging GBO servicing capabilities wherever applicable to bring in tangible benefits and support the growth ambitions of the Underwriting teams.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

  • Develop and implement the OE alignment with stakeholders regarding SLAs incl. availability, performance, response, cost, quality.
  • Develop and update, as well consistently meet and report on, operational KPIs / SLAs for the OE delivering on and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop, manage, and sustain effective working relationships with all key local/regional stakeholders.
  • Support Market Management and Underwriting in acquisition of new customers by developing customer / Broker-tailored solutions.
  • Responsible for multiple lines of business in multiple countries and managing a portfolio of more than 400mn EUR (GWP).
  • Responsible for several teams and managing managers, team size more than 50 FTE. Lead according to Allianz standards and with highest integrity including capacity and resource management, performance management and development of individuals.
  • Work closely with other OEs incl Governance team to develop lean organizational processes whilst maintaining quality and high customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, implement, and broadcast operational measurements, KPIs and SLAs to measure, steer and improve business within the domestic account segment.
  • Drive implementation of the Operations TOM model in the OE. Communicate change to employees and support staff during change processes.
  • Develop and drive lead key local, regional and global projects where required.
  • Ensure the teams under direct and matrix management provide consistent, high-quality client service, steer and manage operational delivery of the team and provide support and expertise to all staff.
  • Develop initiatives regarding process improvements, efficiency gains and FTE utilization and execute on them.
  • Work as a team with the other Insurance Operations Managers to identify and share best practices.
  • Proactively ensure cost effective minimization of operational risks.
  • Responsible für performing all tasks in compliance with AGCS standards.

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • 5+ years leadership experience, including disciplinary authority,
  • 5+ years experience in core insurance function, preferable in Operations or Underwriting,
  • 3+ years experience working in an international environment,
  • Excellent understanding of workflows and portfolios regarding life-cycle-management,
  • Advanced understanding of policy administration life cycle, including information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, cancellation,
  • Advanced Change Management and Project Management skills - leading diverse teams in complex projects,
  • Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office applications and experience of mainframe administration,
  • Advance communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to train, develop and coach staff; and
  • Ability to motivate others

The annualized base pay range for this role is $114,240 to $213,056. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
