Job Title:
Chair and Associate Professor/Professor

Job Summary:
Chair and Associate Professor/Professor to provide academic and administrative leadership and to manage the work of the Commerce department. The department chair leads the strategic initiatives of the department.

In addition to teaching, specific duties and responsibilities include:

budget oversight; curriculum development and implementation; recruitment, professional development, and evaluation of faculty; hiring, mentoring and supervision of faculty and staff; scheduling; communication of University and divisional policies and practices to the Department; representation of the College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science to the University and broader public.

Minimum Qualifications:
Tenured Associate or Full Professor in the College of Liberal Arts & Applied Science at Miami University. An excellent record of accomplishment in teaching, service and research.

Desired Qualifications:
Consideration may be given to candidates with a current appointment in the Commerce Department. Administrative experiences suggesting a demonstrated ability to lead an academic department.
