Your Role:
Tetra Tech's Emergency Management and Disaster Recovery Division (TDR) is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager with prior experience in disaster logistics and/or emergency management. The ideal candidate will be expected to have 4 plus years of demonstrated experience in the emergency and disaster management field, including 2 plus years of supervisory experience.
• Responsible for managing temporary and full-time logistics staff on assigned projects.
• Perform logistics functions such as supply/distribution management, procurement, and travel coordination during periods of post-disaster emergency response/recovery.
• Serve as logistical lead and liaison providing logistical support and expertise to project management teams.
• Develop standard operating procedures for effective project execution.
• Work with Tetra Tech IT department to develop necessary technologies and data for reporting and tracking purposes.
• Develop the logistics program by recruiting quality staff and mentoring / growing junior staff
• Network with other industry providers and subcontractors.
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
• Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience in a leadership position responsible for executing related programs or initiatives.
• Familiarity with federal emergency management programs including preparedness, response, and recovery.
• Bachelor's degree in public administration, emergency management or a related field is preferred.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Strong understanding of financial budgeting processes and principles with the ability to forecast and maintain accurate project financials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable with legal and regulatory processes to ensure company compliance.
• Adaptability to respond quickly to adjustments to initiatives and priorities; organizational skills and flexibility to maintain multiple priorities.
• Ability to travel extensively as required.
