About the Role

At Hudson MX, we know that the key to growth is being able to get prospective clients excited about how we can help them. That's why we're seeking a qualified sales development representative (SDR) to find and screen prospective customers who could benefit from our products and services. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal SDR has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up meetings with our broader team. The SDR should be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way.

This role will be unique in that we will be building out a new go to market approach for a new type of customer that we haven't worked with as much in the past. This will mean you will be working closely with senior leadership to create the process, strategy and messaging on how to be successful scaling new business outreach & what makes a good customer. We are also unique in that new sales roles open up all the time and we highly prioritize internal highers who are proven and know the business.

Objectives

  • Represent the company's products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs
  • Generate leads by positions our offering in a way that gets prospects excited and finding potential new sales opportunities
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps
  • Identify best practices for refining the company's lead-generation playbook

Responsibilities

  • Utilize our CRM, Linkedin, research, cold calls, and emails to generate new sales opportunities
  • Identify the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate products or services
  • Work closely with sales reps and sales leadership to align on best approaches to key accounts
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives
  • Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results

Required skills and qualifications

  • Strong communication skills via phone and email
  • Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization
  • BA/BS or at least 5 years of relevant work experience

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Some knowledge around how media is bought, billed and paid for at large agencies and brands
  • Experience as a sales development representative, with a track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM software
