To achieve this target, we seek an experienced Tech Sustainability Lead, a pivotal role within our Technology organization that works across the Tech & Product organizations and collaborates closely with our Impact (Sustainability) team.

Role Overview:


The Tech Sustainability Lead will spearhead Salesforce's T&P Sustainability program, guiding the company towards our ambitious emissions reduction goal, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations, all while fostering innovation.

Key

Responsibilities:


Lead the Sustainable T&P Program, coordinating high impact cross functional T&P projects aimed at reducing the company's carbon emissions across colocated and public cloud (Hyperforce) data centers.

Perform data analysis to develop insights and recommendations for senior executives, service owners, and customersWork closely with data center providers and other partners to gather data, identify emissions reduction opportunities, and implement these projects across T&P.

Coordinate the collection and analysis of data center energy, carbon, water, and waste data.
Conduct regular tracking and reporting while proactively identifying opportunities for optimization.
Develop forecasts and collaborate with the Sustainability team to integrate into the overall company emissions forecasting approach.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including ISO 50001 and ISO EMS) standards, the EU CSRD, and related requirements.
Organize and promote sustainability training, talks, and awareness programs for T&P employees.
Engage with customers on tech sustainability and data needs External speaking engagements such as conferences, customer events, & moreRequired Skills/

Experience:

Experience in sustainability within tech, product development, or similar fields.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent analytical skills (with ability to run SQL queries), experience in data management, reporting, and optimization.
Experience in project management and cross-functional team leadership.
Familiarity with Salesforce products, cloud computing environments, and sustainability practices in tech development.
Innovative thinker with a track record of identifying and implementing sustainability solutions.
Ability to take ownership of project delivery and multi-task on multiple projects.
Focus on partnership and collaboration with your peers and partners.
Comfortable working in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated passion for and knowledge of corporate sustainability topics.
Positive team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive, and client-focused attitude.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Skills/

Experience:

6
years of experience in sustainability within tech, product development, or similar fields.
Software engineering and/or development background.
Proven track record in leading sustainability initiatives and projects, with a strong focus on technology and product domains.
Deep knowledge of and commitment to sustainability practices, especially as they apply to the tech industry.
Familiarity with the evolving regulatory compliance landscape (ISO 50001, ISO 14001, EU CSRD).

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
