Position Overview: Taymar Sales U.'s Annual Fund Officer for UConn Athletics and the Husky Athletic Fund is a full-time position which is responsible for engaging with existing and prospective UConn Athletics donors and ticket holders. The Annual Fund Officer should be results oriented relationship builder who possesses a positive attitude and willingness to learn. This position will receive training, development and be provided the opportunity for rapid career advancement to Senior level sales roles, and leadership positions within Taymar Sales U and UConn Athletics.

Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate, coordinate, and solicit Athletic Annual Fund donations through outbound calls and face to face meetings with current and prospective Husky Athletic Annual Fund donors.
  • Manage a portfolio of Athletic Annual Fund donors and deliver top notch customer service and dependability.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the university, athletics department and donor benefits and opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual goals by identifying prospective donors from any source and providing a favorable environment for donors to start, maintain and/or increase contributions to the Annual Athletic Fund.
  • Manage and build meaningful relationships to connect prospects and donors to UConn Athletics.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for donors to Athletics Department.
  • Represent UConn Athletics and the Husky Athletic Fund with professionalism, dependability, and attention to detail, while being a creative problem solver.
  • Work games and other key donor events as needed.
  • Build superior internal relationships with the UConn Athletics Department.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Associate General Manager (AGM)/Director of Annual Fund.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Sports Marketing or a related field.
  • Comfort with making outbound phone calls in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Able to identify, understand, and mitigate any issue(s) found to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
  • Proven history in building long term, meaningful relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Experience and proven success in a fundraising or ticket sales role.
  • Strong drive to learn the sales process and grow your career rapidly.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, integrity, communication skills, and desire & ability to learn in a fast paced, highly competitive industry.
