The Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology has a great opportunity for a Full-Time Research Support Coordinator to work at the UHealth Campus. The Research Support Coordinator will assist with projects related to Lung Cancer Screening in Hispanic cancer survivors, handling various financial and operational tasks. This role involves collaborating closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and project members to complete financial and operational tasks effectively.

  • Pre-screen patients, contact physicians seeing potentially eligible patients, consent participants, conduct surveys, randomization, and provide education on lung cancer screening.
  • Ensure patients undergo blood collection and that the samples are safely transported.
  • Collaborate with the BCSR throughout the study.
  • Monitor project data, update project information systems and dashboards regularly.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and coordinate activities among team members and external parties.
  • Prepare, monitor, and update project plans, organize project meetings, and document minutes.
  • Identify and resolve project issues, escalating complex problems to the PI when needed.
  • Work with senior staff and other project managers on project management improvement initiatives.
  • Track project status and coordinate collaborations among key team members.
  • Develop monitoring mechanisms for project progress and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Manage timelines for grant proposals and study reporting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, supervisors, technical staff, and clients.
  • Team player with flexibility in task assignments.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
