Senior Orbital Welding Technician

NES Fircroft is happy to announce a new Orbital Welding Technician role available in the Morrisville, PA area.

Lead installation teams to build high purity stainless steel gas panels, manifolds and integrated process, as well as provide expert installation and supervision of the following popping constriction and testing techniques:

Orbital tube and hand tig welding, Mig welding, High integrity mechanical installation using Swagelok components, High integrity piping system test methods including NDT and pressurized leak testing, and Popping system troubleshooting and repair.

Pay Rate:
$50/hr

Hours:
Mon - Fri, 40 hours per week, Day Shift
Duration: 2 year contract, possible conversion to perm

Deliverables:
Ensure all parts used pass incoming inspection prior to use
Ensure proper welding techniques, inspections and integrity tests are completed during construction
Ensure required weld lo0gsm coupons and test records are produced and indicate conformance to specs
Provide technical guidance in popping layout of process installations
Select and order process popping parts and support materials under direction of the projects designer engineer
Coordinate and supervise piping installers and crews during project construction, drive all to meet schedule
Monitor progress and quality of popping installation and provide periodic project status reports
Maintain project/process drawings to support completion tracking, tests and as built documentation
Provide technical guidance to operations and maintenance teams to trouble shoot and resolve piping issues
Coordinate and execute and piping repairs in operating areas as needed
Work to achieve goal of zero accidents by taking a leadership role in project and construction safety
Participate in plant safety meetings and focus teams

Qualifications
15 years of demonstrated high purity piping installation and orbital tube welding experience
5 years of demonstrated weld crew leadership
Expert hand TIG and orbital tube welder
Demonstrated team leadership ability with good communication skills and interpersonal skills
Experience and confirmation working in an active chemical processing facility
Demonstrated safety focus and team leadership
IE SAP Experience, Excel Knowledge, Any Certifications,
